Springtime is…

I had the amazing opportunity to style a Springtime look with Kate Spade. Can you even imagine the amount of fun this mama had? Could you guess my favorite piece? #crazyhatlady

I would be lying if I didn’t tell you I was drooling (literally) over this trench coat. An investment piece, of course, but a statement you will have in your wardrobe for years and years to come.

We took the morning, and went to Brookgreen gardens with the kids. It’s amazing the little things you will notice when you take a moment to watch, when time almost slows down. I love watching Madelyn explore her surroundings, and her sense of wonder is captivating. She was perfectly content walking through the field of flowers, and peeking into the pond to watch the fish swim by. I always want to remember these days we explored and spent time in the fresh spring air as a family.

Incase you are wondering where our precious ball of chub, we also call Kai is, he was sleeping like an angel in the stroller the entire time. It was rather relaxing to say the least! 

Did you know that Kate Spade also designs children’s clothes and accessories? Madelyn’s dress had me at “drop waist, eyelet detailing, and peter pan collar”… Everyone that saw us just had to stop and tell her how pretty her dress was, and how much they loved her hat. To which she would grin, and reply “Hat”. Oh, her sweet little voice kills me. 

If you were to ask me what I feel my best in, I would tell you a top and skirt like the one I am wearing. Fit and flare dresses are a close second. I adore the watercolor print on this one.

 As the weather transitions from winter to spring, I find myself gravitating more towards color. I want my wardrobe to express how happy and cheerful this season is. My pleated skirt is no exception with its perfectly bright stripes. You could dress this little number up or down, and easily take it from day to night!

I felt so ladylike, and put together. It was extremely refreshing! I’ve mentioned before how easy it is to feel as if you’ve lost yourself when you enter into motherhood. I got my groove back as Madelyn grew older, and now with a new little guy I am here trying to find my groove again! I’ll tell you one thing, it does make me more appreciative when I do have the chance to get dressed up, and who better to get dressed with than Kate Spade? I’ve always been inspired by all of the playfully sophisticated designs from Kate Spade.
