It’s nothing new, you know, plaid for Fall/Winter… but that doesn’t mean it’s not worth updating your wardrobe occasionally. I’ve got a really beautiful plaid vest that I purchased years ago now, and can still wear because it’s very much relevant. It’s just the way we wear the pieces that change.
This season, I really love oversized denim, like this pair that is under $100. You can stick to a more fitted top to balance out the fit of these jeans, or go the opposite route and pair an oversized blazer with them like I did here. Whichever you decide, it’s mostly about how you feel. If you’re confident, and comfortable – I say go for it. What you wear doesn’t have to please everyone around you as long as it makes you happy.
This Tibi blazer was a Nordstrom anniversary sale purchase, which totally paid off in the end now that I see how much I can wear it. It’s more lightweight than I had imagine from the photo online, so it makes it perfect for this awkward-still hot, but I want to dress for Fall weather right now. Of course, easily becoming a layering piece when the temps drop.
